Parade Day finally finished

Parade Day is finally finished (at least I think it is!!) It was probably the painting that took me the second longest of any I have done yet!! (Birds of MN was the longest with it’s thirty something birds!!!) Parade Day is a painting about small town America. Some of the people in it are from my family. My Mom, her Aunt Clara, and “Toots” Kummer along with Garrett Honstead are taken from pictures I took of them. The paintings of me, Elise, and Sam started out to be us, but I ended up changing some things about each for the sake of the painting, and so they no longer look like us!! Which is just fine with me. I guess others won’t know who any of them are anyway!! Hope you enjoy the painting!finished...... Please come see me and my paintings on Friday, Sept. 3rd at Dunn Bros. coffee house from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in Bemidji, MN.
