WIP–Creation of Adam

I have been working on this painting all morning now and I think it is looking better.  You may not be even able to tell what I did that was different.  First thing I did was put a layer of matte gel all over the whole painting.  I put it on loosely so that there would be a lot of bumps and places of texture.  Then I put another layer over the background that I had already done (after it had dried clear).  I am still working on the background now, but more of the part where the red is on the right side of the painting.  I usually do the background first and work forward in the painting.  I believe it helps in the allusion of depth.
